Curriculum

Lancaster University’s MSc Global Finance has been uniquely designed to accelerate the careers of a broad range of professionals by teaching them the critical theory and key practical skills needed to thrive in business. Admissions

The MSc Global Finance programme seeks applicants who are already part of the workforce yet eager to sharpen their financial expertise and stay competitive in a fast-evolving market.

To meet the entry requirements, you must have a 2:1 Honours degree (UK or equivalent) in finance, accounting, economics, a STEM subject or another business-related subject, with a minimum of two years’ professional work experience in any field. 

That being said, non-standard applicants are encouraged to apply (such as those with lower scores or significant experience). No application fees are required. 

The following materials are required for admission: 

  • 2:1 Honours degree (UK or equivalent) in finance, accounting, economics, a STEM subject or another business-related subject;

  • Minimum two years’ work experience;

  • Online application (no fee);

  • Transcripts from previous academic institutions; 

  • One reference; 

  • Personal statement outlining your professional goals and why you are interested in applying for this programme;

  • CV or resume.

An interview may be required on a case-by-case basis. You may also be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency, with a score of 6.5 or higher from IELTS, and a minimum of 6.0 in each element of the test.
