Should you need to complete the required 25 clinical observation hours (a prerequisite for the master's program at Pepperdine University), you will need to take the SLP 509 Clinical Observations and Foundations course. During this module, you’ll be introduced to clinical methods and procedures and, under the supervision of a course instructor, complete 25 observation hours virtually using Master Clinician Network software.

You’ll be assigned specific sessions to watch, do assignments based on those sessions, and have the opportunity to debrief in class. Completing the observation hours virtually adds even more flexibility to the course, as it removes the need for you to commute or find a suitable site close by.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field and your admissions counselor will let you know if you need to take this course during the program.
